Aurora Partners with Ice to launch Chatterbox – Feb 14

Aurora, Australia’s leading not-for-profit subscription community TV channel, has partnered with ICE to produce Chatterbox – a monthly community arts and events program hosted by up-and-comers Aisha Kamara (East West 101Crownies) and Vuli Mkwananzi (True Vibenation) from 7 – 7.30PM, TUESDAY 14 FEBRUARY on Foxtel Channel 183.

Chatterbox is a show by the community for the community, providing a broadcast platform for stories from around Australia that are little told and not often heard. Every month Chatterbox will take FOXTEL and AUSTAR viewers behind the scenes of large and small-scale events that bring communities together – introducing the people behind the projects and the psychology essay passion and joy of those working behind the scenes.

Tune in to celebrate every-day yet extraordinary Australians, their achievements and find out about upcoming events and opportunities nationwide. The show will connect viewers with their neighbours and put a face to the mosaic of contemporary Australian culture.

Chatterbox is the first initiative to be generated out of ICE’s exciting new partnership with Aurora TV. It presents us with a fresh opportunity to turn up the volume on the rich and dynamic cultural and creative currents being generated in diverse communities nationally. The show will use Western Sydney as a platform and we are delighted to be producing it in-house at Switch Digital Arts Centre with a local crew,” says Lisa Torrance, ICE Executive Director.

Producers Aurora and ICE are also investigating ways to source new content for the show nationwide. We are calling out for community organisations to submit story ideas and events for consideration in future episodes of Chatterbox. For more information, or to submit your story idea, please email producers Ben Rose ( and Kate Taylor ( or call 02 9897 5744
